Establishment of Resource and Knowledge centers
We dedicated to establishing resource and knowledge centers across various project areas, providing critical support and education to Indigenous communities. These centers serve as hubs for information dissemination, training, and capacity-building, significantly empowering local populations. A key focus of IIN’s initiatives is the engagement and support of women’s groups, recognizing their vital role in community development and environmental stewardship. Women groups are actively involved in projects related to biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, and sustainable livelihoods. IIN facilitates numerous workshops from these resource centers, tailored to address the unique needs and challenges faced by Indigenous women. These workshops cover a wide range of topics, including leadership training, sustainable agricultural practices, conservation techniques, and advocacy skills. By providing a platform for knowledge exchange and skills development, IIN ensures that women are equipped to lead and participate in initiatives that protect their environment and enhance their communities’ resilience. The resource centers also serve as venues for networking and collaboration, fostering a sense of solidarity and collective action among women groups. Through these comprehensive efforts, IIN not only builds capacity but also promotes gender equality and the active participation of women in environmental and community governance.
