About the Project

As Indigenous Information Network, we  processed application and proposals submitted by various indigenous groups and organizations.Through a rigorous selection process, we identified beneficiary organizationss panning different regions of Africa. Our selection criteria prioritized affirmative measures, considering factors such as marginalization and previous receipt of facilitations or grants.

This ensured that the selected organizations truly deserved support, aligning with the social-cultural context in which they operate. We made sure that the organizations, received training before hand to understand the process. IIN used both in-person and zoom webinars for those from the Sahel and other countries. The training focused on how to do and complete the narrative and financial report.

Moreover, we worked closely with these organizations to identify thematic areas for their projects, leveraging our understanding of their unique circumstances. While our organization has always been dedicated to supporting grassroots indigenous organizations in various capacities, our recent endeavor marks asignificant expansion of our role. By becoming a sub-granter, we aim to broaden our impact and deepen our commitments to indigenous communities.

Even though we had done small scall regranting ,this was our first time participating in regranting with a medium size grant, so it is a great opportunity for us to expand on our current areas of expertise and do more of what we do best—selflessly support and facilitate indigenous organizations and people.

By expanding the scale of our operations and collaborating with recipients from various social and cultural zones of Africa, where indigenous peoples and indigenous organizations are based,we can raise our profile both visibly and geographically.

We take satisfaction in the enormous number of direct and indirect participants who have greatly benefited from the initiatives, and we want to build on this initiative after completing various projects
